The beginning of a new academic year
On 1st October 2018, traditionally, on the first Monday of October, a Brucoš hour was held at the Sports Hall in the campus of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar. For about 700 new students enrolled in the first cycle in the academic year 2018/19 at eight faculties and four university studies at the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, a new academic year began with a modest ceremony.
The Rector, Vice Presidents, Deans, Study Leaders, Secretary General, President of the Union of Students and the President of the Student Organization BEST presented themselves to the students. Rector of the University, prof. dr. Elvir Zlomušica welcomed the 42nd generation of students and told them to be worthy and learn, work, to work and become better people, respectable citizens for the pride of their family and society. To use the time during the studies to be part of a society that seeks to live more prosperous, more orderly and better.
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the HNK Dr. Rasid Hadzovic welcomed the students of the University "Dzemal Bijedic" in Mostar and sent the most heartfelt congratulations on joining the academic community, and wished them a successful study, not to study only for the professor or environment, rather than studying for themselves, because the acquired knowledge and practice will primarily be used by themselves and profitable in the private and business life in the future. In front of the Union of Students as the umbrella student body of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, students were addressed by President Džani Pajić, greeted them and congratulated them on being members of our big family called the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar. , advised not to give up their dreams and enrich their knowledge. Enes Alešević, president of the Student Organization BEST, also greeted the students and welcomed them to the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar, presented the associations briefly, deal with them, and invited them to join the association.
After that students went to their organizational units, where they were greeted by the deans, study leaders and teaching staff.
